About Me
Dr. Changwoong Cho is a primary care provider and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to a diverse adult patient population, with an emphasis on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and building long-term relationships with his patients.
Dr. Cho earned his medical degree from Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency through the Primary Care Track at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West. His training prepared him to care for patients with a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions while emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion, and personalized care.
Dr. Cho believes that exceptional primary care begins with listening to patients and understanding their individual goals and values. He practices shared decision-making and works collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term health and wellness. His clinical interests include preventive care, annual wellness visits, cancer screening, vaccinations, cardiovascular risk reduction, and the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and thyroid disease.
