He is especially knowledgeable in laser and surgical procedures for the treatment of open angle glaucoma, narrow angle glaucoma, secondary glaucoma and cataracts. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with over ten years of experience, Dr. Cole provides patients with state-of-the-art eye care at his practice in New York, where he has seen patients since 2003. In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Cole also serves as Director of the Glaucoma Service at New York Hospital Queens and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Cole graduated with his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by an internship at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai/NYU Medical Center, and further specialized his training through a Glaucoma fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College. Actively involved in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Cole is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the New York State Ophthalmologic Society and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He also holds attending privileges at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York Hospital Queens and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Additionally, Dr. Cole currently plays a major role in the surgical training of the next generation of surgeons at Cornell.
