About Me
Che-Kai Tsao, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine (Hematology and Medical Oncology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is also Medical Director of the Ruttenberg Treatment Center at The Tisch Cancer Institute and The Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, he leads a multidisciplinary treatment center that aims to deliver the highest quality of patient-centered care to those with cancer and blood disorders.
Dr. Tsao is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. He is actively involved in research on the development of novel therapies for the treatment of genitourinary cancers. His main focus is on defining clinical and molecular phenotypes of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, as well as novel therapies for those diseases. Dr. Tsao sees patients at The Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai Queens Infusion Center.
While doing his fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at The Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Tsao served as Chief Fellow and was recognized with the 2012 Mount Sinai Physician of the Year Fellow Award. He has received several Merit Awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
