About Me
Dr. Christina Wang is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Wang received her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her internal medicine training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. She went on to complete fellowship training in gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and served as chief gastroenterology fellow. Dr. Wang completed additional training as a T32 Research Fellow in Cancer Prevention and Control at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
	
	Dr. Wang has published in gastrointestinal cancer epidemiology and on health services utilization. Her research investigates differences in cancer screening usage across populations, and the design of community-based programs to address low screening participation. Her research has been supported by a NIH K08 Career Development Award and an American Cancer Society Clinician Scientist Development Grant. Dr. Wang is involved in committees with the American College of Gastroenterology. She has received various recognitions including the American College of Gastroenterology Service Award for Colorectal Cancer Outreach, Prevention, & Year-Round Excellence Honorable Mention, the Eric R. Lemmer Memorial Award, and the American Cancer Society ResearcHERS Scholar to fuel the future of women-led cancer research.
