Dr. Chang currently directs the Quality Improvement curriculum for the geriatric and
palliative care fellows and faculty at Mount Sinai and serves as director for the uptown
ambulatory and departmental Quality at main campus. She is an active educator and has
trained numerous medical students and geriatric and palliative medicine fellows and faculty
on quality improvement and geriatrics topics such as how to evaluate dementia,
recurrent falls and urinary incontinence and how to manage Behavioral and Psychological
Symptoms of Dementia BPSD.
In addition, Dr. Chang had served as Firm Chief at the Martha Stewart Center for Living
as well as Medical Director of the Home-Based Primary Care and Respite Programs at the
Washington D.C. Veterans Affair Medical Center. She has coached the Veterans
Administration Medical Center Interdisciplinary QI scholars program since 2016.
Dr. Chang completed her medical school and residency training in internal medicine at
Duke and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, respectively. She then
completed her geriatrics fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
