Christopher Sikorski, MD
Anesthesiology, Pain Management
About Me
Dr. Sikorski is board-certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and lifestyle medicine. He completed medical school at New York University, residency in anesthesiology at Northwestern University, and fellowship in pain medicine at Mount Sinai West-Morningside. His interest in the impact of health on chronic pain later led him to train in plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine, which relies on evidence-based lifestyle interventions for the prevention, treatment, and reversal of chronic diseases.
Dr. Sikorski treats pain from arthritis, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, headaches, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, cancer, and other conditions by combining pain-relieving injections/procedures, non-narcotic pain medications, and lifestyle modification. He encourages therapeutic lifestyle changes to address the commonly neglected influence of lifestyle factors such as diet, activity, sleep, and stress on the development and prognosis of chronic pain.
Dr. Sikorski is also the director of pain management for Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital and an instructor for the Mount Sinai West-Morningside pain medicine fellowship program. He is actively involved in the education of pain medicine fellows as well as anesthesia residents, who have previously voted him educator of the year. He has written medical book chapters and served as a workshop instructor for national medical society conferences.
