Christopher Richardson, MD

About Me

Chris Richardson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, primarily practicing at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Dr. Richardson graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Biology in 2006. He was a Teach for America corps member and taught high school physics and chemistry in the Bronx, NY. He graduated from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2013, where he was a member of AOA. He completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 2017 and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship in the Mount Sinai Health System in 2018.

Dr. Richardson has academic interests in Medical Education and Emergency Department Palliative Care. He is Co-Site Director for the Emergency Medicine fourth-year medical student clerkship at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside and is involved in several ongoing research projects relating to the care of older adults and patients with chronic serious illness in the ED.
