About Me
Claire Dunphy, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Dunphy received her doctoral degree from Fordham University in Bronx, NY. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Dunphy’s work as a licensed clinical psychologist is primarily focused on supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with comorbid medical and psychological challenges via psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary consultation. Dr. Dunphy also provides psychoeducational testing to evaluate the cognitive functioning of children and adolescents with medical, developmental, and academic concerns.
Dr. Dunphy’s research interests include the psychological impact of chronic illness, cognitive and psychosocial correlates of medication nonadherence after organ transplant, and the development and evaluation of behavioral interventions for nonadherence.
