Dr. Diez trained and graduated in New York City and abroad. She obtained a doctoral degree at The New School University in New York City, and pursued postdoctoral education at the NYU Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Post-Doctoral Program and William Alanson's White Institute,. She is a diplomate (board certified) psychologist, and a faculty member at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai.
Dr. Diez integrates different lines of work and disciplines in her practice (psychodynamic, mindfulness, attachment-neuroscience) through a participative, direct and personable style.
