Dr. Claudine Portella joined Mount Sinai as an Internist in 2015. After graduating with her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Portella completed internships in OB/GYN and Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Hospital Center, respectively. She then moved to NYU School of Medicine for her residency in Internal Medicine. With her certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Portella specializes in preventative care.
When practicing medicine, Dr. Portella forms partnerships with each patient with the ultimate goal of helping them become healthy and stay healthy.

Dr. Claudine Portella was fantastic. I explained to her about my addiction history, bulimia, and self-harm in the past. She was very understanding with no judgments. We went through each of my concerns and medications. She provided me with some helpful advice regarding my health, along with the reasonings behind the EKG and blood testing. Dr. Portella was very thorough. She even followed-up with me, upon receiving my blood work results, and told me that there was nothing to worry about and to continue with my outpatient rehab program. Very thankful for her and the medical staff!
Dr. Portella has guided me through losing significant weight for my health, standard and unexpected medical events that I am grateful for and keeping my health in mind.
