About Me
Craig F. Nobert, MD, was appointed Director of Laparoscopic Urologic Surgery in the Department of Urology at Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt in 2004. He joined Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt from the New York Hospital Campus of The New York and Presbyterian Hospital, where he was Chief Resident in Urology. Dr. Nobert has served as Chief resident at the Sanford Weill Medical School of Cornell University in the James Buchanon Brady Department of Urology, and at The North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset Long Island. In that capacity, he also served as a clinical fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York. During that time, he conducted research in genetic alterations of hormone refractory prostate cancer, which led to several publications. He has also received specialized training in Laparoscopic Surgery and Robotic Surgery, and has presented demonstration films for the use of these techniques in Urology at the American Urologic Association meeting in May of 2004. Dr. Nobert received his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Molecular Biology from San Diego State University, where he conducted research on signal transduction factor binding sites of genes. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities and Biochemistry from Columbia University. He also has worked as a Research Associate at Amgen Incorporated conducting research directed at the identification and characterization of novel cytokines. Dr. Nobert is certified by the American Board of Urology in Adult and Pediatric Urology.
