Dr. DuShey is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His areas of specialized training for the hip include minimal incision hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, hip fracture repair, hip resurfacing, and revision of failed hip replacements. His areas of specialized training for the knee include total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and revision of failed knee replacements. Dr. Dushey is an avid proponent of patient education and works with each patient to tailor a treatment plan that addresses the specific needs and expectations of each individual.He completed his General Orthopedic training at Yale School of Medicine and the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed his specialty training in hip and knee surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. His areas of specialized training for the hip include minimal incision hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, hip fracture repair, and revision of failed hip replacements. Research

Dr. Dushey has been engaged in scientific research for the past 14 years, participating in projects at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Yale University, and Mount Sinai Hospital. He is currently investigating the durability of knee replacements in young patients and patient decision-making before hip replacement.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
