About Me
Daitasha Miller, DNP, MSN, MDIV, MS, FNP-BC, NP-C, AAHIVS, successfully completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Rutgers University in August of 2019. Upon graduation, she flawlessly defended her scholarly projected titled “HIV & AIDS: A Call for a Black Church Initiative.” The aim of her quasi-experimental pilot study, with a pre-test and post-test design, was to improve HIV & AIDS awareness among the African American population with hopes of increasing the Black church memberships’ awareness and knowledge about these diseases. This was accomplished by measuring an individual’s knowledge baseline about HIV &AIDS and analyzing their intent to get screened. While earning her DNP, Ms. Miller simultaneously earned her Advanced Public Health Certificate from the City University of New York’s (CUNY’s) School of Public Health and her Certificate in HIV Care Specialization from Rutgers University. In her continued efforts to bring awareness about HIV & AIDS to the communities she serves, including HIV prevention such as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), sexually transmitted infection treatment, prevention, and diagnosis, Ms. Miller has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Mount Sinai’s Institute of Advanced Medicine in Chelsea since 2020.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. MILLER has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
