Daniel Jones, MD

Daniel Jones, MD is a highly-skilled and qualified comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who newly serves Brooklyn Heights and other nearby communities. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in biomedical engineering before earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. After graduation, he continued his training with an internship in internal medicine in Chicago prior to completing his ophthalmology surgical residency training in Texas at the University of Texas-Houston. Following residency, he continued his education with an additional surgical year at the Cincinnati Eye Institute where he was trained in glaucoma medical and surgical management. He practices the full spectrum of general ophthalmology care while focusing on cataract and glaucoma procedures.

Dr. Jones believes in a close relationship with his patients, incorporating explanation and personal feedback into the end of every visit. He understands a medical visit is a relationship and both parties should come to a joint decision about one’s healthcare. He remains active in the ophthalmology community, learning about new medications, surgical techniques, etc. to optimize patient’s sight and experience.

Dr. Jones enjoys a slew of activities outside of work, with some of his main hobbies including tennis, painting, gardening, baking, and dancing with friends.
