About Me
Daniel Lugassy, MD, MA, is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine and attending physician at Elmhurst City Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of the Medical Simulation Center at Elmhurst.
Dr. Lugassy completed a Masters in Medical Science at Boston University in 2001. He attended medical school at SUNY Downstate, graduating in 2005, followed by an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical System (2008), and a Medical Toxicology Fellowship at the NYU/Bellevue/NYC Poison Control System (2010).
Dr. Lugassy’s clinical and research interests include medical toxicology, substance use disorder, and medical simulation.
