About Me
Daniela Guisado, MD is an Instructor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and Mount Sinai’s Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute. Dr. Guisado received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at New York Presbyterian- Weill Cornell and a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Mount Sinai and a Pediatric IBD Translational Research Fellowship at Mount Sinai. Dr. Guisado is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology and has a clinical interest in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease and expertise in treating broad gastrointestinal and liver disorders and caring for liver and intestinal transplant patients.
Dr. Guisado's research focuses on the immunological mechanisms underlying inflammatory bowel disease and the role of hematopoietic stem cells on disease and treatment response.
