Daniela Mikhaylov, MD

Daniela Mikhaylov, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Mikhaylov provides comprehensive and personalized dermatologic care to patients of all skin types. She has expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment, along with a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, alopecia areata and other hair loss disorders, acne, rosacea, vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa, and contact dermatitis. She also performs cyst removals and offers a broad range of cosmetic treatments, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, microneedling, Sofwave, lasers, PRP and chemical peels, with a focus on skin rejuvenation and subtle, natural-looking results. Dr. Mikhaylov is dedicated to helping her patients look and feel their best through individualized care rooted in the latest advances in dermatologic research.

Dr. Mikhaylov graduated as valedictorian from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Music. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was selected for induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, reflecting her dedication to scientific excellence, compassionate care, and a patient-centered approach. During medical school, she completed a research fellowship at the Laboratory of Inflammatory Skin Diseases at Mount Sinai, where she conducted translational research on atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, psoriasis, and ichthyoses. She subsequently completed her dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where she received extensive training across the full spectrum of dermatologic care. Dr. Mikhaylov has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications in prominent dermatology journals and has presented her research at national and regional meetings.
