About Me
Dr. Darryl Brown is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He provides comprehensive pain care to patients with a variety of painful conditions and he understands that both acute and chronic pain can be all-encompassing. Dr. Brown ensures that each patient’s values, goals and preferences are considered when developing a treatment plan. He utilizes a multifaceted approach when treating painful conditions which includes interventional procedures, lifestyle modifications, therapy and medications. Dr. Brown is committed to helping his patients develop ways to prevent pain from adversely impacting their ability to function, improve their quality of life and reduce the psychological effects of pain. He has a particular interest in Post-COVID Pain, neuromodulation therapies and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
In addition to Dr. Brown’s clinical work, he is actively involved in medical education and research. He is currently on the committee for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice for the Society for Education in Anesthesia and is actively involved in the American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine organizations.
Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate training at Saint Xavier University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his anesthesiology residency and interventional pain medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside and West Hospitals in New York City.
