Daryl Goldman, MD
Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology
About Me
Daryl T. Goldman, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, and Neurology at the Cerebrovascular Center at Mount Sinai. She is dual-trained as an interventional radiologist and a neuroendovascular surgeon.
Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in both diagnostic and interventional radiology, Dr. Goldman completed fellowship training in neuroendovascular surgery and neurointerventional radiology. She earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Queensland – Ochsner Clinical School in Australia and New Orleans. She then completed her residency in integrated interventional and diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery at the same institution.
Dr. Goldman performs a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across the body, with a clinical focus on vascular disorders of the brain, spine, head, neck, and body. Her expertise includes the endovascular treatment of complex cerebrovascular conditions such as cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) of the brain, head, neck, and body, dural AVMs, acute ischemic stroke, carotid stenosis, and venous thrombosis. She is highly experienced in head and neck vascular interventions, including tumor embolization and sclerotherapy for lymphatic and venous malformations.
In addition, Dr. Goldman specializes in minimally invasive treatments for head and neck tumors and is extensively trained in interventional oncology techniques such as Yttrium-90 radioembolization, chemoembolization, and targeted drug delivery. She also has significant experience in complex interventional spine procedures, treating vertebral fractures, tumors, and chronic back pain.
As a clinical researcher, Dr. Goldman is actively involved as an investigator in several multicenter trials and has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in both interventional radiology and neuroendovascular surgery. She has presented her work at national and international conferences. Her research interests span a wide range of topics, including thrombectomy device innovation, interventional oncology, novel embolization strategies, arterial and venous thromboembolism, advanced stroke interventions, and the development of minimally invasive treatments for neurological cancers and pain management.
Dr. Goldman is particularly passionate about the emerging field of Interventional Neuro-Oncology, which lies at the intersection of endovascular therapy and precision neuro-oncology, offering exciting potential for transformative patient care.
A dedicated educator and leader in her field, Dr. Goldman has served as Course Director for multiple national symposia and played a foundational role in developing educational initiatives in neurointerventional surgery and interventional radiology. She has held leadership positions in the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies (GEST).

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Goldman has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
