About Me
David Cancel, MD, JD, is the Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine.
His clinical interests focus on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions in both children and young adults. He has presented at national and international conferences on neuromuscular disorders, ultrasound guided injections, spasticity management, and concussion treatment. His written works include book chapters on pediatric brain injury.
Dr. Cancel also serves as a ringside physician providing medical coverage for various combat sports in New York State and is a Physician Member of USA Boxing.
