About Me
Dr. Cherkas attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine, graduating in 2002. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University in 2006. Dr. Cherkas served as the associate program director for the EM residency at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst for nearly 7 years. He currently is a member of the ACEP Clinical Policies Committee and has written peer reviewed publications in the areas of trauma and resuscitation. Current areas of interest also include management of Covid-19 and ED critical care.
