About Me

David Ezon, MD, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and Director of Technology and Innovation for Education at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Heart Center. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and in Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, where he served as chief fellow. He has served as Assistant Professor at The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Ezon is the co-author of The Atlas of Congenital Heart Disease Nomenclature and has numerous peer-reviewed publications.he published the book Survive and Conquer: Your Guide When Illness Strikes. His research interests include fetal cardiology, echocardiography, and advanced clinical decision support applications to improve healthcare outcomes.

Research

Dr. Ezon has focused his research on three areas: outcomes of fetal and pediatric cardiac medicine, use of virtual and augmented reality technologies to improve healthcare delivery and medical education, and use of new technologies to improve healthcare quality and efficiency.  He has developed one of the first devices to process patient specific information in virtual reality for pre-operative planning.  He is also the co-author of The Atlas of Congenital Heart Disease Nomenclature, which is sold internationally throughout the field of pediatric cardiology.
