About Me
Dr. David Jiang is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a psychoanalyst trained at the William Alanson White Institute. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Jiang joined the Mount Sinai faculty in 2018, and his roles in the department include outpatient adult psychiatric care, resident education, and research. He is a lecturer and supervisor of psychiatry residents, and brings particular expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma neurobiology, and trauma-informed care. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications on clinical approaches to and the impacts of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and he has presented at numerous national conferences. In addition to English, he is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing culturally responsive mental health care to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
