David H Jiang, MD

About Me
Dr. David Jiang is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed medical school at the University of Virginia and psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he also served as chief resident. He joined the faculty in 2018 as an attending and his roles in the department include outpatient adult psychiatric care, trainee education, and research. He is a lecturer and supervisor of psychiatry residents, particularly on the topics of psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma neurobiology, and trauma-informed care. He has published peer-reviewed research on clinical approaches to and impacts of adverse childhood experiences, and has also presented numerous times at national conferences. In addition to English, he is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin and his clinical duties involve culturally competent service to people from a great diversity of backgrounds. He is currently in psychoanalytic training at the William Alanson White Institute.
