About Me
Dr. David D. Song joined the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Cardiology specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Vascular Medicine in 2024. Dr. Song earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY. After graduating, he finished Internal Medicine training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He continued his advanced training in General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai Heart, in New York City. Furthermore, Dr. Song pursued an advanced year in Interventional Vascular Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
After fellowship, Dr. Song was hired as Assistant Professor at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Song is both an Interventional and Endovascular Cardiologist with specialized focuses in complex percutaneous coronary interventions and peripheral arterial and venous disease, particularly with aortoiliac, lower extremity, carotid and renal revascularization.
Dr. Song has presented abstracts, posters, and oral presentations at various regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Song is dedicated to advancing the field of Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Vascular Medicine through innovative research and evidence-based practices. His commitment to education is evident in his active role in mentoring and training the next generation of cardiologists, fostering a learning environment that emphasizes both technical skill and compassionate patient care. Above it all Dr. Song provides comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients first and foremost.
