About Me
Debbie Marie Ramirez Fermin, MD (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside. Dr. Fermin joined Mount Sinai after completing her residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside/West. During her residency, Dr. Fermin was part of the Primary Care Track program. She is a passionate advocate for health equity and universal access to healthcare.
Dr. Fermin holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Pharmacy and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Prior to relocating to New York City, she practiced as an outpatient general practitioner and hospitalist in both rural and urban settings in the Philippines. As an internist, Dr. Fermin focuses on adult preventive health and women’s health.
