About Me
Deborah Tirsun, DDS, is a dedicated Pediatric Dentist and Clinical Instructor within the Department of Dentistry at the Mount Sinai Health System. Dr. Tirsun specializes in providing comprehensive dental care for children, with a particular focus on advanced behavior guidance techniques and hospital-based pediatric dentistry. As a Board Certified specialist, her clinical expertise ensures that young patients receive high-quality care in a supportive environment, whether in the clinic or the operating room.
In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as the Assistant Program Director for the Pediatric Dental Residency Program, where she helps oversee the training and professional development of the next generation of pediatric dental specialists.
Education & Training
Dr. Tirsun completed both a General Practice Residency and a specialized residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During her specialty tenure, she was appointed Chief Resident, a role in which she managed complex clinical schedules and coordinated hospital rotations. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
