About Me
Dr. Peyser is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Center of Excellence for Eating and Weight Disorders in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Peyser specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, substance use disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, where she worked in the Center of Alcohol Studies. Dr. Peyser completed her predoctoral internship at the Hudson Valley VA and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Mount Sinai Eating and Weight Disorders Program. Her current research focuses on testing novel therapeutic interventions for adolescents with low-weight eating disorders focused on interoceptive exposure.
