About Me
Di Liu, Ph.D. serves as supervising psychologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He supervises and teaches psychology and psychiatry trainees and engages in clinical practice.
Dr. Liu has expertise in psychotherapy with adults and families and has been trained in cognitive-behavioral interventions as well as psychodynamic interventions. He also participates in ongoing research in psychotherapy involving the therapeutic alliance.
Dr. Liu graduated from Adelphi University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He completed his predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and his postdoctoral fellowship in child trauma clinical psychology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
PRIVATE PRACTICE:
Dr. Liu offers short-term individual or family psychotherapy. He uses cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approaches. His specialties include treating depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulations, interpersonal injuries, and complex trauma.
