Dimitri Alvarez, MD

About Me

Dr. Dimitri Alvarez is a graduate of the Institute for Family Health’s Mid-Hudson Family Practice Residency and is Board certified in Family Medicine. He received the resident teacher award in recognition of his commitment to family medicine education. He has served the Harlem community since July 2010. Dr. Alvarez participates in research on reducing low birth weight infants and preterm labor. He is fluent in French and Creole and proficient in medical Spanish. Dr. Alvarez is an advisor to the residents of the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine in collaboration with Mount Sinai Hospital.
