About Me
Dr. Edwards is a board-certified internist who provides primary care to adult patients.
Dr. Edwards is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association in Internal Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. At Lenox Hill, she excelled in primary car and was recognized in 2012 with the Outstanding Ambulatory Care Award.
She has a particular interest in mentoring the next generation of physicians. Currently, she oversees the resident physicians at West 14th Street. She is dedicated to empowering patients through open communication and addressing obstacles to achieving maximum wellness.

The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The DO was excellent (after 2 prior unsuccessful rescheduled appointments, I was relieved). She showed up on time, clearly had read my medical record and answered all my questions.
Dr. Edwards is a joy to talk to and takes my concerns seriously. I have already recommended her to other people. I see her for weight loss specifically but have started also using her for some virtual primary care/virtual urgent care needs as well.
Donna Edwards is wonderful. It was the third time I met with her online.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
