About Me
Dr. Mendes has been practicing surgery for greater then 25 years.  She is the first African American woman certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery.  She loves caring for patients who require salvage of their legs due to poor circulation and has recently developed an interest and large practice in varicose vein surgery.  Dr. Mendes was named in the 2011 edition of Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors: New York Metro Area.”
