About Me
Edward J. Shin, MD is a board certified Ear, Nose and Throat specialist at the Department of Otolaryngology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He also serves as Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Shin is an accomplished sinus surgeon and thyroid specialist, who earned his medical degree from Stanford School of Medicine and completed his advanced residency training at the University of California in San Francisco.
He has been the recipient of numerous honors throughout his career, including the Teacher of the Year Award from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. A contributor for several medical journals and author of numerous articles and book chapters on a wide range of topics, Dr. Shin has also been invited to lecture nationally and internationally.
His clinical practices focuses on disorders of the thyroid, salivary glands and sinuses, including sinusitis, deviated nasal septum, balloon sinuplasty, thyroid nodules and salivary stones and tumors. Dr. Shin believes that providing every patient with world-class medical care involves state-of-the-art technology, sophisticated treatment options in a compassionate and supportive atmosphere.
