About Me
Dr. Edward Adler is the Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Downtown and Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His practice is limited to primary and revision Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.
Dr. Adler graduated from Washington & Lee University. He received his medical degree at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed orthopedic surgery residency at the University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. He then went on to fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement at The Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.
Dr. Adler went into private practice with Madison Avenue Orthopaedic Associates and ultimately joined the faculty practice at The NYU Langone Medical Center.
In February 2019 he transferred to the Mount Sinai Health System and sees patients at The Orthopedic Center at Mount Sinai West.
Dr. Adler specializes in the surgical management of hip and knee arthritis. In addition to primary hip and knee replacements he performs complex reconstructive procedures on individuals with problematic joint replacements. He treats people who suffer with loose, failed or infected joint replacements. He has authored scientific publications and serves on the editorial boards of several peer reviewed journals.
He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
