Elaina Zendegui, PsyD

About Me

Dr. Zendegui specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has expertise in treating anxiety and related disorders, emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, and disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. Zendegui directs the Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Clinic for Overcoming Anxiety in Adolescents and in CHildren (COAACH), a multidisciplinary training clinic for youth with anxiety and related disorders. She also co-directs the Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Adolescent DBT program. In her faculty practice, she works with adults as well as youth. She serves as the Chair of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America OCD Special Interest Group. Dr. Zendegui is passionate about teaching, training, and increasing access to evidence-based treatment.

Dr. Zendegui received her doctoral degree from Rutgers University and her undergraduate degree from McGill University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine and her predoctoral internship at North Shore-LIJ Health System (now Northwell). She has intensive training in DBT (Behavioral Tech), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
