About Me
Elana Siegel, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hospital Medicine in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital.
Dr. Siegel graduated from Brown University (BA in Russian) and Drexel University College of Medicine, where she was elected to the AOA society. She completed a Pediatrics residency at the Icahn Mount Sinai. Before joining the Division of Hospital Medicine team at Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, Dr. Siegel spent 3 years as a pediatric hospitalist at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Pediatric Observation Unit and Emergency Department, where she was the site leader for the national, multi-site SIP Study "Simultaneously Implementing Pathways for Improving Asthma, Pneumonia, and Bronchiolitis Care for Hospitalized Children" and involved in several other QI initiatives focusing on furthering the care of children with respiratory illness.
Dr. Siegel is a native French speaker, as well as fluent in Spanish, Russian, and Italian.
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Siegel's clinical interests include medical education and pediatric critical care simulation.
