He has also contributed his expertise to medical textbooks and delivers invited lectures at medical conferences around the world.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Williams earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He served as Chief Resident and completed a subsequent fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he joined the faculty in 2020.

“The thing that drew me to heart surgery was that it’s a specialty where I can have an immediate impact on a patient’s problem and change the course of their life for the better,” Dr. Williams said. “I try to treat every patient as I would treat my own wife, father or another family member.”
