His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery, the Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery Annual, the Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, ASAIO Journal, JTCVS Techniques and Heart Rhythm. He has also contributed his expertise to medical textbooks and delivers invited lectures at medical conferences around the world.

He served as Chief Resident and completed a subsequent fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he joined the faculty in 2020.
“The thing that drew me to heart surgery was that it’s a specialty where I can have an immediate impact on a patient’s problem and change the course of their life for the better,” Dr. Williams said. “I try to treat every patient as I would treat my own wife, father or another family member.”

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
