About Me
Dr. Eleni Maloutas received her undergraduate education at New York University, after graduating from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science. She then went on to continue her studies at The Chicago Medical School.
After completing residencies in both Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Maloutas joined the faculty as an Inpatient Attending. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and the Unit Chief of one of the General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Units at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Also strongly committed to medical education, Dr. Maloutas was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award for Medical Student Education in June of 2010.
In her outpatient practice, Dr. Maloutas is trained to use both medication and talk therapy to treat all psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD and bipolar disorder in people of all age groups. She is also well versed in the use of Behavioral Parenting and Parent Management Training for the parents of children with Disruptive Behavioral Disorders. She would be happy to work with you to devise a plan that fits your lifestyle and personal goals.
