About Me
Dr. Elizabeth Dennis is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in sports medicine surgery. She currently serves as a player physician for the US OPEN and is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her medical school and residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University and her Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery. She also has a Master’s Degree in Medical Physics from Columbia University School of Engineering. During her fellowship she was part of the medical team for the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Mets (MLB) and the Brooklyn Cyclones (MiLB).
Dr. Dennis has a special interest is in patellofemoral research, work that she has published in several peer reviewed journals and presented at the national and international level. Dr. Dennis was recently awarded the ISAKOS and Patellofemoral Foundation Traveling Fellowship. She is also a member of the JUPITER (Justifying Patellar Instability Treatment by Early Results) Multicenter Study Group. She is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), American Academic of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopic Association of North American (AANA), the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and The FORUM.
