Elizabeth C Yoo, MD
Hospital Medicine
About Me
Elizabeth Yoo is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician who is fellowship trained and board eligible in the field of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. A native New Yorker, she completed her internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine – Elmhurst and completed her fellowship training at New York Presbyterian- Columbia University Medical Center, and will continue to stay in New York as an attending physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
As she has always appreciated the teaching provided by her mentors throughout her career, she is eager to share the knowledge and skills she has gained in palliative care and hospice medicine to embed its principles into the fabric of the hospital system where she cares for patients as a hospitalist physician.
While her specialist training and experiences have given her expertise in symptom management and communication skills, she is eager to improve the delivery of primary palliative care, so that all providers can deliver the highest quality care for all patients, including those experiencing physical, emotional, spiritual, and/or existential distress.
