About Me
Originally from New Jersey, Emily Fatakhov, MD graduated from Williams College in Massachusetts with Honors in Biology, obtained her MD from Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel, and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwell Health System in Long Island. She completed advanced training at the ACGME-accredited Sports Medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, with specialized expertise in interventional spine as well as diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound. Dr. Fatakhov is double-board certified in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Having experienced sports injuries herself, Emily is a motivational and dedicated participant in the recovery and healing process. She creates individualized treatment programs for each patient, committed to helping them optimize function and return to an active, healthy lifestyle
Emily is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has authored several articles and book chapters related to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, running and spending time with her family.
