About Me

Dr. Emily Nosova graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where she also pursued a yearlong NIH-sponsored research fellowship. Dr. Nosova completed her residency in Internal Medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, receiving a certification in Women’s Health, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology at Mount Sinai.

During her fellowship, she participated in several clinical trials studying advanced diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring and artificial pancreas for type 1 diabetes. Her research focus was in diabetes and the efficacy of technology use during pregnancy.

Dr. Nosova’s specific clinical interests include endocrine conditions that can affect fertility and pregnancy, and hormonal effects that can result from cancer and its treatment. Many survivors of cancer, particularly if treated during childhood or adolescence, require long-term surveillance to monitor for late complications like diabetes/insulin resistance, infertility, thyroid disorders, and growth impairment. These conditions may develop many years to decades after a cancer has long been cured. Dr. Nosova hopes to monitor and treat endocrine issues for cancer survivors with a strong emphasis on preventive care.

In addition to authoring several research publications in Endocrinology, Dr. Nosova also has training in medical journalism from ABC News and has provided expertise to several media outlets. Some of her contributions can be found at ESPN, Insider, and AARP.
