Eric Barna, MD

Dr. Eric Barna is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Medical Education within the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. In his current roles, Dr. Barna serves as the Director of Education for the Division of Hospital Medicine, Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency, Director of the Hospitalist Career Advisement Program, and the Clerkship Director for the Acting Internship for the ICAHN School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His primary focus is in undergraduate and graduate medical education and training. Dr. Barna also serves as a senior faculty advisor and has worked to develop and coach faculty within the Division of Hospital Medicine. Additional interests include career development, leveraging technology in trainee education and coaching faculty both regionally and nationally on collaborative teaching of medical trainees.
