About Me
Eric Kutscher, MD, MSc is a primary care and addiction medicine clinician educator at Mount Sinai's Internal Medicine Associates and REACH Program and is passionate about providing patient-centered and harm reduction focused care for underserved populations, particularly LGBTQ+ adults and individuals with substance use disorders. He currently serves as a Well-Being Champion for the Department of Medicine, primary care lead for the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, and as Clinician Competency Mentor for the Icahn School of Medicine's new ASCEND curriculum. Dr. Kutscher obtained his Master of Science in Healthcare Delivery Sciences from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine after completing his addiction medicine fellowship and primary care-internal medicine residency program at NYU Langone Health/Bellevue Hospital Center. He completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medicine and his undergraduate studies at Columbia University. Dr. Kutscher's research focuses health systems optimization, harm reduction, medical education, addiction, sexual health, and wellbeing. He lives with his husband and their dog in Manhattan.
