Dr. Ganz's area of specialization is the comprehensive care of women with HIV, herpes, and other infections, including during pregnancy, labor and delivery. He has been on the faculty of Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt since 1996. In 1999, he was chosen "teacher of the year" by the ob/gyn residents at Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt. Dr. Ganz has received several grants and awards that have furthered his work for women with HIV. Among them, in 1999 he was awarded a research grant that allowed him to carry out studies on the best ways to educate and counsel pregnant women with HIV. Also, in 2002, he received grant support to attend a training conference on herpes education.
