About Me
Dr. Schweiger received his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and did his post-doctoral training at New York University and University of Kansas Medical Center, where he served as chief dermatology resident. Dr. Schweiger currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City.
Dr. Schweiger specializes in cosmetic dermatology, with a focus on laser therapy, injectables and the treatment of acne and acne scars. His clinical studies and peer-reviewed articles have been published in many journals, including Journal of Drugs and Dermatology, Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy and Journal of the Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Schweiger pioneered an advanced method of treating acne scars called Focal Acne Scar Treatment (F.A.S.T.) using the fractional CO2laser at an increased energy level on areas of acne scarring. His findings were published in Journal of Drugs in Dermatology in 2013 and have since received much acclaim and attention. Acne scar patients from around the globe continue to seek out Dr. Schweiger for F.A.S.T.
Dr. Schweiger started Schweiger Dermatology Group in 2010 with one office and a single employee and has since grown the practice to over 20 offices with locations throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester County, Rockland County, and New Jersey. SDG currently provides advanced dermatology services to over 250,000 patients annually and offers unique patient benefits including same-day scheduling. Dr. Schweiger’s vision is to make top-notch dermatology services easily accessible in the Tri-State area by opening new practices and revitalizing existing practices throughout the metro New York City area.
