Dr. Berkowitz graduated cum laude with a B.A. (in Biology) in 1997 from Yeshiva College of Yeshiva University and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he served as a Senator for the Student-Faculty Senate, earning his medical degree in 2001.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and entered our dermatology residency program in 2002. Dr. Berkowitz graduated in 2005 having served as Chief Resident during his final year. Following this he did a one-year fellowship in Procedural Dermatology in our Department (2005-2006) and served as the director of Surgical, Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology in the Division of Dermatology at Montefiore Medical Center from 2006 to 2009.
