About Me
Dr. Erica Cardona has practiced Family Medicine for over 20 years. After graduating from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Dr. Cardona earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She then completed her residency in Family Medicine with The Mount Sinai Family Medicine Program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Cardona is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and can communicate with patients in both English and Spanish.
Before joining Mount Sinai in 2018, Dr. Cardona served as Medical Director for Medisys East NY Diagnostic and Treatment Center for almost 10 years.
Dr. Cardona has earned several awards, including Resident of the Year Award and Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. She was awarded a city council citation in Queens, as well as a certificate of excellence from The Healthcare Association of New York State for providing healthcare in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria relief efforts coordinated by NYS.

Dr. Cardona took the time to introduce herself, get familiarized with my record and go over it with me, often asking if she had addressed my concerns. She was very thorough.
Dr. Erica Cardona is the best as always. I would prefer a little bit more time with her but, I know she's busy because I'm sure all of her other patients value her as much as I do. Great doctors like Erica Cardona is scarce. I travel quite a distance to see her because she is the best doctor I've ever had and I want her to remain as such!
Dr Cardona is an excellent promary care physician.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
