In his ten years as a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Harvey has performed more than 1,000 bariatric operations, including the most complicated primary and revisional procedures, with outstanding results and an impeccable safety record. In addition to his work in bariatrics, Dr. Harvey also performs general surgery procedures using the most advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Research

Dr. Harvey is actively pursuing research in the areas of weight loss surgery and the surgical treatment of type 2 diabetes. He also contributed towards the research in the developing fields of single-incision surgery and scarless natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery. He has been invited to present his research findings at national and international meetings. He is active in the education of medical students. Dr. Harvey is developing a new program of skills-based training for the residents in the simulation lab.
