About Me
Dr. Levit is an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed his dermatology residency at Columbia University, where he now teaches the surgery clinic. Following his residency he finished a one year MOHS micrographic, Laser and Dermatologic surgery fellowship with the renowned Dr. Leonard Dzubow at the University of Pennsylvania.
He then undertook a second fellowship, two year long, in Cosmetic and Laser surgery with Dr. Emil Bisaccia, a Fellow of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a pioneer in dermatological and cosmetic surgery. With Dr. Bisaccia, Dr. Levit further honed his skills in the aesthetic arena of cosmetic surgery performing hundreds of Face Lifts, Blepharoplasties, Liposuctions, Laser Resurfacing as well as Fat grafting, Botox injections, Filler agents (including permanent, semi-permanent, and absorbable fillers), and a multitude of laser and other minimally invasive and noninvasive rejuvenating procedures.
Dr. Levit has been chosen as the best injector by Allergan cosmetic company and has been nominated to become a teacher to other physicians on the proper Botox injection techniques.
Dr. Levit has received the highest award for volunteer work by the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Levit has also been selected by Top Doc America to receive the 2011 Top Doctor and Dentist Award.
Dr. Levit is an Author of a Book “A Lost Art (Reflections of a Dermatologist)” – a collection of short stories from his practice aimed for the lay public.
